Year 3/4 Home Learning Suggestions

Hello all! We do hope you are all safe and well. It's been great to see the photos of the wonderful work you have been doing at home. Well done and keep it up!

Hopefully the end of this lockdown will be soon but, in the meantime, we added many new lessons below.

This term we were supposed to be learning about the Stone Age but there are many fun activities linked to this that you can try at home (just scroll down to 'History').

I know that many of you have your own timetables up and running, which is great! For those that haven't, please try to complete the following:

Daily - White Rose Maths Lessons, reading, English and spelling/EGPS tasks. some physical activity (Joe Wicks has nearly broken us!).

Once per week - RE, HeartSmart, Science, History, French and Music

For Computing, there are tasks linked in with the Science, History, English etc. As well as these, you could use Minecraft to create your own Stone Age settlement, carry out extra research on the Stone Age, create an interactive book or presentation.

Some parents have asked for a copy of our timetable, if you would like a copy then please click here (Y3/4 timetable).

Year 3/4 Quiz:

Here's a link to a quick quiz we've set up on the Stone Age, Plants and general knowledge. Enjoy!

Music - David Walliam's Marvellous Musical Podcasts

The author of Mr. Stink & Awful Aunty has created his own musical podcasts, each based on a famous composer. Each podcast lasts about 20 minutes and is packed full of Walliam's usual humour.

Below are quiz sheets that relate to each podcast, these link wonderfully with the curriculum objective: 'develop an understanding of the history of music'.

To access the podcasts, please visit: http://marvellousmusicalpodcast.com/ and scroll down to 'Listen to the podcast'.

Please note - it's best to listen to the programmes in order as some of the jokes reappear in later episodes and they won't make sense unless you've listened to the ones before.
